L'era de cal Tonico is a fully renovated mountain barn set on the edge of the hamlet of Calbinyà, at 1,000 m altitude in the Catalan Alt Urgell region, close to the Andorran border. The house has kept its original stone walls, exposed wooden beams and slate roof, giving it a rustic, warm character. It comprises two bedrooms, one with two single beds and the other with a double bed, a living room with a fireplace, an equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. It makes an ideal base for a quiet stay with a small group or family, away from the bustle, with the option to cook on site. The unspoiled mountain setting is a great starting point for exploring the Catalan and Andorran Pyrenees.
The house sits on the edge of the hamlet of Calbinyà, in the Alt Urgell region, about 6 km from La Seu d'Urgell and just a few kilometres from the Andorran border. Perched at 1,000 m altitude, the hamlet offers an unspoiled mountain setting, well suited to hiking and exploring small Pyrenean villages. La Seu d'Urgell, with its shops, cathedral and airport, is the nearest supply point. Andorra's ski resorts are within less than an hour's drive.
